How You Play The Game

For this piece, created for our solo show Play Against, we appropriated the "gentlemen's game" of squash, performing not only the gestures and the etiquette of the game, but also its social networking function, as a means to address the tension between competition and cooperation that runs through a nation of "temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”
